Ieri sera alla 02 Academy Brixton di Londra sono stati consegnati gli NME Awards 2010, prestigiosi premi assegnati dai lettori del magazine New Musical Express.
Abbiamo imparato nel corso delle edizioni (la prima, pensate, risale al lontano 1953) a conoscere l’evento, che si differenzia dai più poppettari BRITs per lo stile irriverente e -presunto- alternativo di premiatori, premiati…e premi in sé: sono quasi 30, spaziano dai classici miglior disco/pezzo/video fino ai meglio o peggio vestiti, agli eroi e agli sciagurati dell’annata.
Il cortocircuito avviene quando, com’è accaduto sto’giro, due categorie di segno opposto nominano o addirittura premiano lo stesso artista: Lady GaGa, per esempio, è stata eletta sia come meglio agghindata che come peggio vestita. Potere della libera volontà popolare…
