She’s always had her own sense of style, but Amy Winehouse looks elsewhere for her style inspiration.
When asked if she thinks of herself as a style icon in the November issue of Harper's Bazaar, the “Rehab” singer responded, “No, of course not!” she tells the magazine. “I just dress like…I’m an old Jewish black man. I just dress like it’s still the ’50s.”
Unsure of exactly who she looks at for style inspiration, Winehouse told, “Elizabeth Taylor,” she says, before changing her mind. “Not really. She had purple eyes. That’s weird.”
In related news, the British star has collaborated with designer Fred Perry for a collection composed of coats, shirts, and skirts with inspiration coming from the 1940's and 1950's.
