Secondo la critica americana è appunto il film “Melancholia” di Lars Von Trier, il miglior film dell’anno 2011.
La National Society of Film Critics (Nsfc) ha infatti assegnato gli Nsfc award, il riconoscimento che viene considerarato un sostegno per l’Oscar, in programma per il 26 Febbraio: Miglior attore è Brad Pitt, con “l’atteso Moneyball” e “The tree of life” di Terrence Malick;
Migliore attrice è Kirsten Dunst, la protagonista di “Melancholia”, che ha già ricevuto il premio come miglior interpretazione femminile al Festival di Cannes, e batte Yun Jung-hee con “Poetry” e Meryl Streep con “The Iron Lady”, mentre Pitt ha avuto la meglio su Gary Oldman con “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” e Jean Dujardin con il film in bianco e nero “The Artist”.
Come miglior regista è stato premiato Terrence Malick, mentre il miglior film straniero è “A separation” pellicola iraniana di Asghar Farhadi, che ha vinto anche il premio per miglior sceneggiatura, e risulta essere tra i favoriti per l’Oscar.
L’anno scorso il premio andò all’italiana Giovanna Mezzogiorno con “Vincere” di Marco Bellocchio, un caso raro di attrice straniera premiata con il NSFC award..
La Nsfc è composta da 58 membri dei più importanti giornali di: Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Chicago e altre città americane, come il Time, Newsweek,The New Yorker, The Village Voice and the Boston Phoenix.
