The singer Amy Winehouse and the singer and record producer Pharrell Williams and his band N.E.R.D. are to appear at Gulf Bike Week 2011 in Dubai Festival City in February next year.
Gulf Bike Week will run over three days from Thursday February 10 to Saturday February 12, and will feature daily bike exhibitions, stunt bike shows, entertainment and a special Rolling Stone Magazine stage with local and regional bands performing.
On the Thursday night, Pharrell Williams with his band N.E.R.D. and the singer Mike Posner will perform in the 15,000-capacity Festival City concert arena. The next night Amy Winehouse takes the stage for what the organiser, Done Events, is predicting will be a sold-out concert. More information and tickets are available from www.gulfbikeweek.com. Last year the festival attracted more than 30,000 bike fans, and 14,000 concert guests.
Done Events said the line-up for its Livin’ the Music series of concerts will be announced "in coming weeks".
