Interview with Jamie Bell
JJ: What attracted you to the Man on a Ledge role?
JB: It was definitely the overall thing. The movie delivered true to the genre which is that it would be thrilling. When I read it, it definitely had misleading stuff in it that would redirect the audience and distract them in others and then pull the rug out from under and reveal information. The director came from a documentary background and I always love that because it’s my favorite genre of movies. Genesis [Rodriguez] and I had the fun part of the movie to do, so that was great.
JJ: Your other movie, The Adventures of Tintin, has had international success:
JB: The movie internationally was huge because that was where the audience was for that movie. We will see when Peter [Jackson] gets back from middle earth, if we do the next one. I would love to do that. The movie turned out great and the technology is so up to date that in terms to the animation part of it, I think that everyone really did a great job with it. I’m really proud of that movie.
JJ: Are you keeping up with your New Year’s resolutions?
JB: [Laughs] I made tons, like learn to drive, keep a journal and do that sort of thing.”
JJ: What are some of your dream roles?
JB: I never really know what the dream piece is. I think you never know until you are actually doing it. Something like Tintin was so great for me because I identified with him as a kid. I just want to play parts that I can connect with on a personal level.”

JJ: What are some of your hobbies?
JB: I play the guitar a lot and ride my bike a lot. I love shooting pictures.
JJ: Would you ever do a musical?
JB: I would love to do a music biopic or something or something like that would be cool.
Interview with Genesis Rodriguez
JJ: How is your experience so far promoting Man on a Ledge, your first major movie role?
GR: It’s been really exciting. Especially because you get all the feedback from people, and they really like it. I am happy that they liked my character. I got to do a lot of my interviews with Jamie and that was a blast.
JJ: What’s it like working with Jamie?
GR: He really is just the sweetest guy, funny, and so unaffected by fame. I hope I get to work with him again. Jamie and I had our own movie inside the movie, which I think was great. I think if we had any idea what was going on in the other part of the movie our scenes wouldn’t have come out as natural and as fun. I think we’re the two people that let you relax when you watch the film. The scenes on the ledge really make you tense – it had me on a the edge of my seat when I watched it for the first time!”
